Deceased Classmate: Fred Denkhaus

Died at age 54 of lung cancer, in McAllen, Texas.
Survived By: Wife Gail and children Heather and Bradley, and brother Don Denkhaus, Miami, FL.

Fred attended Lehigh and was plant manager at a food packaging plant in southern Texas for many years. He was a good friend throughout high school and a great traveling companion in the summer of 1961 when three of us worked and played our way around the United States. After that we stayed in contact for years via letters and holiday cards until communication ceased in the 1990s. I was finally able to contact his brother in Florida in 2011 and found out why communications ceased. Fred was my friend.
